**We're super excited to announce our new 50k distance option for our March 6th 2027 event!** As part of our new 50k distance, we've once again joined forces with the Arizona Trail Association, and are offering the unique challenge of completing all three southern Arizona's 50k races, Colossal Vail, Oracle Rumble, and Old Pueblo. New course maps available soon!.

Course

Starting at the historic mining site of Kentucky Camp the race takes you into the rugged, rocky shadow of Mt. Wrightson along the Arizona Trail. Looking down at you from 9452’, it is one of the tallest peaks in southern Arizona. You will seldom lose sight of it as you run the course. It is truly a beautiful area. The course itself, consists of a 25 mile loop on forest service roads and trails through the southeastern part of the Santa Rita Mountains (part of the Arizona Trail). Elevation at Start/Finish is 5142 and ranges between 4031 and 6232 with an average grade of 6%. Time limit: 7 hours for 25 miles and 15 hours for 50 miles.

Awards

Special awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each event. All finishers will receive awards plus plenty of Swag from our sponsors.  Post race cookout also provided.

Southern Arizona Triple 50

Old Pueblo is also part of the Southern Arizona Triple 50. Runners who complete three of Southern Arizona’s 50-mile ultra races within a single season are eligible for special prizes and a discounted rate. More information can be found here: https://runazt.org/southern-arizona-triple-50

Angeles Crest 100 Sterling Silver Tickets

We are honored to be partnered with one of the original 100-mile trail races, the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run. The 1st and 2nd place male and female finishers in our 50 Mile race will receive Sterling Silver Tickets to Angeles Crest 100. PhoMo 50k and Old Pueblo Entry Awards

We are also proud to partner with the PhoMo 50K, hosted by Ghosthead Productions. The 1st place male and female finishers at PhoMo 50K will receive free entry into the Old Pueblo 50 Mile race. Discounts and Refunds

We offer a 10% discount to Native Americans, active duty military, law enforcement, fire fighters and first responders. Contact the race director from the website contact page for instructions. We do not offer refunds. We can defer 5 entries to the following year, first come basis. YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO ENTER. See our website for more information www.oldpueblo50.com.

Cupless Event

We are a cupless event. Thanks to one of our sponsors, Hammer Nutrition, we will provide each runner a reusable and collapsible cup, at packet pickup.
