Num-Num Trail Challenge 2027

The Num-Num Trail Challenge returns on July 24, 2027, inviting trail runners to explore the rugged beauty of South Africa's Highveld escarpment. Set within Escarp Adventures' expansive property, this challenging course winds through steep climbs and descents, narrow single-track trails cutting through rocky outcrops and lush indigenous forests. Runners will encounter a mix of terrain including roots, rocks, and uneven ground that demand both focus and stamina. Since its inception, the Num-Num Trail Challenge has become known for offering an authentic mountain running experience far from crowded race circuits. This year's event caters to all fitness levels with distances ranging from 36 km (the solo Knee-Breaker) down to a more accessible 7 km route designed for social runners and newcomers alike, ensuring there’s something for everyone looking to connect with the wilderness.
