NTMC Halloween Hustle

The annual Lakeview Festival Run takes place on the third Saturday of October each year. This vibrant 5K/10K event draws runners from across the region as it returns to its picturesque setting near the shores of Lake View Park, a serene oasis that offers breathtaking views and lush greenery.
Participants are welcomed by the crisp autumn air as they begin their journey at 7:30 AM in front of the historic town hall. The course winds through scenic pathways lined with vibrant trees before leading runners into the heart of downtown where merchants' storefronts add to the festive atmosphere. This race, established over two decades ago, has become a cherished tradition for thousands who gather annually to celebrate health and community.
The 10K route features several laps around Lake View Park followed by a scenic loop through nearby neighborhoods before concluding back at the starting point. The shorter 5K option offers an equally enjoyable experience with half the distance but still providing ample opportunities to admire the fall foliage. Both courses are noted for their smooth, hard-surfaced paths that ensure comfortable running conditions.
The event kicks off with a traditional ceremonial start featuring a cannon blast, marking the official launch of the race. Runners can expect minimal elevation changes as they traverse flat terrain and enjoy panoramic views across the lake.
