Set against the backdrop of Naseby village, renowned for its pivotal battle in 1645, this annual run offers runners an immersive journey through some of England's most captivating historical landscapes. The race route follows a 35-mile loop that winds through picturesque villages and estates, including Holdenby House, Althorp (the final resting place of Princess Diana), Cottesbrooke Hall, and other notable sites. This year’s event returns to its traditional anti-clockwise course, providing participants with an engaging mix of terrain. The multi-terrain route weaves seamlessly between smooth roads and challenging trails, offering a unique blend of surfaces for runners to tackle. In addition to the full 35-mile distance, there are options for marathon (26.2 miles), three-quarter marathon (19.7 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), and a shorter 10k run. Each stretch of the route is designed to highlight different aspects of the local heritage and natural beauty, making this race not just about personal achievement but also an exploration through time and space. Whether you're drawn by history or scenic vistas, there's no shortage of inspiration as you navigate past stately homes, verdant fields, and quaint villages. The event caters to all levels of runners with its varied distance options, ensuring that everyone can find a challenge tailored just for them. As the race unfolds, participants will have plenty of opportunities to soak in the rich tapestry of English countryside while pushing their limits on both familiar roads and rugged trails. Join us this year as we celebrate another chapter in the legacy of Naseby’s historic run, where every step takes you deeper into a story that spans centuries.
