It's never too early to start thinking ahead!

Raise your glass and ring in the New Year with us at Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery!

We're starting 2027 the only way we know how, with a race! After you ring in the New Year, take a nap then come out, and join us and RUN (or walk) into the New Year! We're putting on the New Year's Day 5K and Half Marathon at one of the most spectacular venues on the circuit!

We thought it would be appropriate to kiss 2026 goodbye, and are offering the New Year's Day 5K and Half Marathon for just $27 (and that includes a drink)!

We'll have the same great course, music and an awesome Finisher Medal! We'll have shirts as an additional purchase for $25.

We will be starting at 10:00 am at Cape Fear Vineyard & Winery.

If you're not ready to be out and about, join us for the virtual 5K & we will ship you your swag (continental US only; lower 48 states)! Virtual participants will receive a Finisher Medal. Purchase your commemorative NYD 2027 shirt for just $25.

We’ll also be presenting overall and age-group awards for each distance in the usual 5-year categories starting at 10 & under.

About Elizabethtown

Elizabethtown is a town in and the county seat of Bladen County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,296 at the 2020 census. Elizabethtown was chartered in 1773 on the west banks of the Cape Fear River, approximately halfway between Fayetteville and Wilmington, North Carolina. Tory Hole Park in downtown Elizabethtown was the site of the Battle of Elizabethtown, a pivotal victory for the Patriots in the American Revolutionary War that ended Loyalist control of the region. A former river port that primarily exported Naval stores and lumber, Elizabethtown is now a regional industrial and manufacturing hub centered around the Elizabethtown Airport Industrial Park, with many natural attractions that attract visitors year-round.
