Navy Divers 50 K Run

Join us for the 44th annual Navy Divers 50K Run on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This beloved fundraising event is organized by the Fleet Diving Unit (Atlantic) and held at Shearwater Sports and Fitness Center in Nova Scotia to support less fortunate children across the Maritime Provinces during the holiday season.
The race begins promptly at 8:00 AM with a scenic route along the Shearwater Flyer Trail, Salt Marsh Trail, and Atlantic View Trail. Covering a total distance of 50 kilometers (25km out and back), this challenging course offers runners breathtaking coastal views and diverse terrain that showcases Nova Scotia's natural beauty.
Registration opens at 7:00 AM on race day, giving participants ample time to prepare for the event. Water stations are strategically placed every 10 kilometers along the route, ensuring runners remain hydrated throughout their journey. The cut-off time is set for 3:00 PM (7 hours), allowing plenty of daylight and encouraging a steady pace.
All proceeds from participant entry fees will be donated directly to Christmas Daddies Charity, which works tirelessly year-round to provide joy and support during the holiday season. While this event currently operates without chip timing due to budget constraints, race times are recorded using stopwatches for accurate results that will be compiled and sent out via email after the race concludes.
