On February 13, 2027, runners will converge on Enterprise South Nature Park for an exhilarating trail race featuring both a 50K and a 25K loop. The journey begins with a half-mile road section that gradually thins out the field before transitioning to the soft surface of Poe Run Trail. At three miles in, participants step onto well-maintained horse trails leading to one of five aid stations stocked with snacks and drinks for sustained energy. Eleven miles into the race, runners encounter a 5-mile stretch of pedestrian-only trails winding through lush forest scenery. The course then returns to the start/finish area at mile 16 via mountain bike trails before heading out on rolling single-track paths that make up the final 15 miles. A unique highlight is the passage through one of the park's concrete TNT storage bunkers, remnants from its days as a U.S. Army munitions facility. The 2800 acres of undisturbed woodland offer glimpses of wildlife such as turkeys, deer, hawks, coyotes, raccoons and various reptiles while providing an immersive natural setting for the race. Beyond running trails, Enterprise South Nature Park boasts picnic areas, restrooms, a dog park, disc golf courses, play zones for children, pump tracks for cyclists, and more recreational amenities. This event promises not only a challenging course but also a rich experience of nature's beauty and historical significance within Tennessee’s serene landscapes.
