Nakskov Fjord Triatlon 2026

Welcome to the Nakskov Fjord Triathlon 2026, an inviting gathering that promises both fun and friendly competition. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, this triathlon offers routes suitable for all levels of experience. The event is designed not only to showcase your athletic prowess but also to provide enjoyment in the picturesque surroundings of Nakskov.
The swimming leg begins at Hestehovedet, where participants will navigate through calm waters along a marked course that extends 500 meters or 800 meters for longer distances. Swimmers can expect clear visibility and manageable depths ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters between buoys, ensuring a safe and enjoyable start.
Following the swim is an exhilarating cycle ride on scenic routes around Nakskov Fjord. Cyclists will pedal through open roads that quickly lead them away from town into quieter stretches with minimal turns for added safety. The route accommodates various types of bicycles including mountain bikes, city bikes, road racers, and even tricycles. All cyclists must have their equipment checked in by 12:30 PM.
The final leg is a run along the fjord’s edge where participants will encounter both asphalt paths and natural trails that wind through the area's diverse terrain. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the water while providing an engaging challenge for runners to enjoy as they near the finish line back at Hestehovedet.
In addition to competitive racing, Nakskov Fjord Triathlon 2026 welcomes families and friends with a variety of activities nearby such as playgrounds, beaches, minigolf courses, water sports centers, restaurants, and ice cream shops. These amenities ensure that spectators also have plenty to do while cheering on their loved ones.
Registration fees vary based on the distance chosen: short course (500m swim, 28.9km cycle, 4.9km run) costs DKK175 if registered before June 22nd and increases thereafter; long course (800m swim, 48.3km cycle, 9.8km run) is priced at DKK225 until the same deadline with a higher rate after that date.
