My Funny Valentine

Nestled along Southbourne's picturesque beachfront promenade, east of Bournemouth, My Funny Valentine offers runners an unparalleled coastal experience. This flat and fast tarmacked route stretches from 5 kilometers to ultra-marathon distances, providing a flexible challenge for all abilities.
The event features an 'out and back' course that winds alongside the stunning coastline, allowing participants to choose their own adventure based on personal goals or preferences. Each lap covers a distance of 5.3 kilometers (3.28 miles) with no elevation changes, making it ideal for speed enthusiasts looking to set new personal records.
Participants can start at any time between 8am and 9:30am, simply turn up when they're ready to run. All runners must finish by 3pm, allowing a maximum race duration of seven hours. Race numbers are available on the day upon registration before you begin your journey along this scenic route.
Aid stations will be set up at both the start and finish line for each lap, offering water and snacks including savory and sweet treats to keep energy levels high throughout the event. A designated area is provided for personal belongings during the race.
Public restrooms and showers are conveniently located along the promenade, ensuring runners have everything they need within easy reach.
Detailed final instructions will be sent out via email prior to the event date with all necessary information for a smooth race day experience. It's worth noting that this route has been officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers, making it eligible as an official road marathon distance for 100 Marathon Club purposes.
