Mumbai Ultra Blood Donation Drive - 2026

On November 29, 2026, the city of Mumbai will come together for the Mumbai Ultra Blood Donation Drive – 2026. This community-driven initiative aims to save lives and support those in need through voluntary blood donations at two key locations: Shivaji Park in Dadar and Borivali (East).
Eligible donors between the ages of 18 and 60, or up to 65 if they are regular donors, must weigh a minimum of 45 kg and have a hemoglobin level of at least 12.5 gm/dl. To ensure safety and comfort before donating, participants should eat lightly within four hours prior to the event, get ample rest (at least six hours), avoid smoking for four hours beforehand, abstain from alcohol in the last 24 hours, wear loose-fitting clothing, refrain from getting tattoos or piercings in the past year, limit aspirin intake over three days, and avoid antibiotics within two weeks. Diabetic donors on oral medication are welcome if their condition is stable, while hypertensive individuals may donate as long as their blood pressure is controlled.
Post-donation care includes drinking plenty of fluids for the next four hours, avoiding smoking for 30 minutes, refraining from alcohol for a day, resting and avoiding strenuous activities. Participants should also avoid driving for one to two hours after donating and apply pressure if bleeding occurs. The bandage can be removed after five to six hours, and those feeling dizzy are advised to lie down or sit with their head between their knees.
To register, participants must create a profile on the RACES Platform by signing up with basic details and verifying through OTP via mobile or email. Existing users simply log in using their registered credentials.
