Part of the prestigious Mediterránea Triatlón series, the MTRI Castellón Triathlon is one of the most accessible and enjoyable triathlon events on the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
Set in the lively province of Castellón de la Plana, this event offers a perfect blend of performance, inclusivity, and coastal atmosphere. Designed for athletes of all levels, it features multiple race formats including Super Sprint, Sprint, and Olympic distance, making it ideal whether you are racing for a personal best or taking on your first triathlon abroad.
The course is known for being completely flat and fast, allowing athletes to focus on rhythm and speed across all three disciplines. With swimming in calm coastal waters, a smooth bike segment along open roads, and a scenic run near the sea, the race delivers optimal conditions for both competition and progression.
Athletes can compete individually or in pairs, while a non-competitive family duathlon adds a fun and inclusive option for all ages, reinforcing the welcoming spirit of the event.
Renowned for its friendly atmosphere and excellent organization, MTRI Castellón stands out as one of the most appreciated stops in the Mediterranean triathlon calendar. It is the perfect destination for combining sport, sun, and a true race weekend experience on the Spanish coast.
