Mt. Umunhum Trail Conquest-Winter

On February 6, 2027, runners will gather at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver Park for an exhilarating trail running experience. The race offers three challenging distances: a 30K that peaks atop Bald Mountain, a Trail Marathon with its own ascent to exclusive Mt. Umunhum, and a grueling 50K course also featuring the summit climb.
Participants will begin their journey at dawn, starting early for registration and bib pickup from 7:00 AM onwards. A trail briefing is scheduled at 7:45 AM before all runners take off simultaneously at 8:00 AM. The race day promises a full event with scenic routes winding through the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve.
The course, marked by ribbons and signs for clear guidance, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape as it twists and turns along rugged trails. Runners can expect aid stations strategically placed throughout each distance to ensure hydration and nutrition needs are met. All finishers will be awarded a commemorative medal upon crossing the finish line.
The start/finish area at Almaden Quicksilver County Park's Hacienda Entrance provides access to toilets on a first-come, first-served basis. Runners should dress appropriately for an endurance run and prepare themselves for the varied terrain of this challenging course.
