Montrelais en couleurs

Join the vibrant community of Montrelais for "Montrelais En Couleurs," an exciting and colorful race set to take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Organized by the Parent-Teacher Association at Joachim du Bellay School with support from the town of Montrelais, this event promises a festive atmosphere that is perfect for families.
All participants are invited to wear white T-shirts and bring protective goggles as part of the fun theme. The race offers three distinct courses tailored to different age groups:
- Adult Course: A 6.5-kilometer run along scenic routes by the Loire River and through the heart of Montrelais, starting at 18:00.
- Children's Courses: Two separate runs for younger participants—400 meters for children aged 3 to 6 years old, and a kilometer-long course for those between 7 and 12 years. These races begin from 17:00 onwards, with parental permission required during registration.
The event takes place in the heart of Montrelais at Place des Services, located near Joachim du Bellay School on Rue de l'Espérance. A parking area is available nearby for easy access to the race venue. Dossards (race bibs) can be collected from 15:00 until 17:00 in the village.
Participants and spectators will enjoy a range of amenities including food trucks offering delicious meals, refreshments at various points throughout the event area, and fun activities led by enthusiastic organizers that cater to all ages. The race is not timed competitively but rather focuses on enjoyment, camaraderie, and celebrating the start of the new school year in style.
