MontCo Backyard Ultra

The Last Person Standing is an endurance challenge like no other, where runners face off against time on a flat 4.16-mile loop every hour, starting at the stroke of midnight and continuing until just one remains standing. This self-supported backyard ultra demands meticulous planning for nutrition and recovery as participants push through grueling hours to stay ahead of the clock.
Set in Conshohocken, PA, runners will race along a flat trail that tests their stamina rather than technical skill. Each loop is an opportunity to rest and refuel at your personal aid station within "The Village," but missing even one second of the next hour’s start means elimination from this unforgiving event.
Participants must adhere strictly to rules regarding support, with no outside assistance allowed on the course once the race begins. The challenge not only tests physical limits but also mental fortitude as competitors confront their boundaries in pursuit of victory and personal triumph.
All proceeds benefit Team Foster, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans through service dogs and community initiatives. Runners are encouraged to raise funds for this cause before December 5th, with those surpassing $1,000 securing prime spots near the start line.
With temperatures ranging from chilly mornings around freezing to mild afternoons in the high forties, participants must be prepared for fluctuating conditions throughout the day. Spectators are welcome but cannot join runners on the course during the race itself.
