About the Event

The Mochas and Marshmallows is an enchanting fun run designed for young athletes under the age of 14, offering a delightful mix of exercise and treats. Held along the scenic Bow River pathway in Bottomlands Park, this event features different race distances tailored to various age groups: 3km for ages 10-14 at 3:00pm, 2km for ages 8-9 at 3:30pm, another 2km run for ages 6-7 at 3:50pm, and a shorter 1km race for those aged 5 and under at 4:15pm. Each participant will receive a medal, hot chocolate in their own mug, and a tasty treat upon crossing the finish line.
Parents are encouraged to arrive on-site by 2:00pm for package pickup until 4:00pm, ensuring they have enough time to prepare before race day festivities begin. Race bibs must be worn prominently on the front of each child's clothing so volunteers can easily identify them and distribute their rewards accordingly.
Children aged nine and under may run alongside an adult if needed. Spectators are invited to cheer from the sidelines or snap pictures as runners dash through the picturesque Bow River pathway, adding a festive touch by donning Halloween costumes for added fun. Participants must adhere strictly to their age categories; unregistered children cannot join on course with siblings.
This event promises not only a memorable running experience but also an opportunity for families to gather and celebrate together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
