The Northwoods Trail Run offers an unforgettable experience across scenic trails, beginning near Billy Bob’s Sports Bar on County Road L in Tomahawk. The full marathon follows the certified Boston Marathon route along the Bearskin and Hiawatha Trails, culminating at the iconic trestle bridge in Minocqua. This picturesque course features a gun start for all participants, ensuring an equal starting time.
For those looking to cover less distance but still enjoy stunning views of Northwoods scenery, the Half Marathon starts at the intersection of Lakewood Road and Bearskin Trail. Runners will traverse beautiful terrain through the heart of the Northwoods before reaching the finish line on the trestle bridge in Minocqua.
The 5K race begins near Torpy Park in downtown Minocqua, taking runners along a picturesque loop around Lake Minocqua before joining the Bearskin Trail for the final stretch to the iconic trestle bridge. This event is perfect for those who want to enjoy scenic beauty while covering a shorter distance.
