About the Event

The Qui' Il Volantino race returns to the stunning island of Elba on September 12, 2027. Runners from across Italy and beyond will gather for an unforgettable day filled with scenic views and challenging terrain.
Participants can choose between three distances: a marathon, half-marathon, and a shorter 10K route. All races start at the picturesque town of Rio Marina around 9:30 AM in the morning, offering runners a chance to soak up the serene beauty of Elba's coastline before setting off on their journey.
For those traveling from mainland Italy, ferry tickets can be booked for an early departure from Piombino to Rio Marina. The ferry departs at 8:15 AM and returns later that afternoon around 2:30 PM, providing a convenient option for visitors looking to make the most of race day without worrying about overnight accommodations.
The Qui' Il Volantino event is not just about running; it's an opportunity to immerse yourself in Elba’s rich culture and history. The island offers unique landscapes that blend rugged cliffs with pristine beaches, creating a diverse environment where runners can enjoy both challenging ascents and smooth coastal paths.
Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply looking to explore one of Italy's most enchanting islands, the Qui' Il Volantino race promises an unforgettable experience.
The event is designed to cater to all levels of runners, from seasoned athletes seeking a competitive edge to casual participants who want to enjoy Elba’s natural beauty at their own pace. With its combination of scenic routes and historic charm, this year's edition will undoubtedly be another memorable chapter in the race’s rich history.
