Join us for the inaugural Miles That Matter 5K, hosted by the Working Moms of San Antonio Foundation!

Run it, walk it, bring the family, gather your friends, or complete the virtual race on your own schedule. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a mom, a woman, or an experienced runner to participate.

Come for the miles and stay for the post-race celebration with local vendors, refreshments, photo opportunities, family-friendly fun, and plenty of community energy.

A portion of the proceeds support Foundation programs that create opportunities for women and girls to learn, lead, connect, and thrive!

• Kids Fun Run: 7:30 AM
• 5K Run and Walk: 8:00 AM

 5K Run and Walk 

Professionally timed by IAAP and open to runners and walkers of all experience levels.

Registration:

• $35 through February 28
• $40 beginning March 1
• $45 beginning April 30 and on race morning

 Kids Fun Run 

A fun and encouraging race experience for children ages 1 through 12. Parents and guardians must remain on-site.

Registration:

• $15 through April 29
• $20 beginning April 30 and on race morning

 Virtual 5K 

Complete your 5K wherever and whenever works best for you.

Completion Window: April 24 through May 9, 2027

Registration Options:

• Registration: $35
• Local packet pickup: Free
• Domestic shipping: $10

Shirts and Medals

An official event shirt is included only with registrations completed by March 31, 2027 at 11:59 PM Central. Registrations completed after the deadline will not include a shirt.

Registered participants who complete the in-person 5K, Kids Fun Run, or Virtual 5K will receive a finisher medal. Medals are limited.

Awards

Awards will be presented to:

• Overall male and female winners
• Male and female masters winners
• First, second, and third place male and female finishers in 10-year age groups

Overall awards will be based on gun time. There will be no duplication of awards. Awards apply to the timed, in-person 5K only.

Important Policies

• All registration fees, processing fees, donations, purchases, and shipping charges are nonrefundable.
• Official participant transfers and changes from the in-person 5K to the Virtual 5K must be completed through RunSignup by April 23, 2027.
• The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued.
• Strollers are welcome. Participants with strollers must start toward the back.
• Pets are not permitted in the Race Village or on the course. Trained service animals are permitted as allowed by law.
