Midweek Chasing Numbers Jan 2027

Join us for the first Midweek Chasing Numbers run of 2027, an affordable and flexible running experience designed to cater to every level of runner. This event offers multiple start times from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM on a Friday, providing you with ample time to complete your desired distance or simply enjoy the scenic route along the River Thames.
The course is approximately 4.37 miles (or 7km) per lap and features well-maintained paths and trails that offer stunning views of the riverbank. The terrain consists mainly of tarmac, but includes sections of grass and light trail which can get muddy at certain times of the year. Runners are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear for both road and trail conditions.
All abilities are welcome, from beginners looking to build their endurance to seasoned runners aiming to rack up impressive distances. Walkers are also invited to participate in this inclusive event. Members enjoy exclusive benefits such as discounted entry fees, guaranteed race spots, and a mini-me medal pin at every event attended. UK Athletics-affiliated club members receive an additional £2 discount on registration.
The minimum distance required for official completion is 3 kilometers, ensuring that all participants can claim their finisher’s medal upon crossing the line. For those aiming higher, pins are available to commemorate achievements of half-marathon (13.1 miles), marathon (26.2 miles), and ultra distances (70km or more). Additionally, a special 50km distance is offered for ambitious runners.
Aid stations will be set up at the start/finish area throughout the day, providing essential hydration and nourishment with a variety of snacks including vegan options. Participants can also enjoy a goody bag filled with treats upon completing their run.
The event venue offers basic facilities such as toilets located at The Last Hop pub in Staines. While there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers available on-site, the downstairs toilet area is spacious enough to accommodate runners who wish to change before or after the race.
Parking can be found nearby at Bridge Street Car Park (TW18 4TP). On the day of the event, participants will collect their numbers and receive final instructions via email leading up to race day. A secure bag drop service will also be available for those needing a place to store belongings during the run.
Whether you're celebrating a milestone or simply looking to enjoy a scenic route with like-minded runners, this Midweek Chasing Numbers event promises an unforgettable experience along the picturesque Thames path.
We look forward to seeing you on January 29th, 2027!
