Welcome to the Midweek Chasing Numbers run, kicking off the year with an inclusive and affordable race experience. This flexible Friday event offers start times ranging from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM, giving runners ample opportunity to fit their training or personal goals into a busy schedule. All abilities are welcome at this super-inclusive event, including walkers who wish to participate in the fun. Members of our community enjoy exclusive benefits such as discounted entry and guaranteed spots for all events. Additionally, members receive a mini-me medal pin with each attendance, adding up to a collection that celebrates every achievement along the way. Licensed by the Trail Running Association and conducted under UK Athletics rules, this 7-hour Time Challenge event allows participants full control over their distance. The minimum run is just 3 kilometers, while ambitious runners can aim for half-marathon (21km), marathon (42km), or ultra distances beyond that mark. Each lap measures approximately 7 kilometers and includes designated turn points to accommodate younger athletes adhering to UK Athletics guidelines. The route winds along the picturesque River Thames, featuring a mix of well-maintained paths and grassy trails. About 60% of the course is paved for year-round use with road shoes, though trail runners may opt for extra grip on softer sections that can become muddy during wet seasons. The exact layout might vary based on final health and safety reviews before race day. Upon completing a minimum distance of 3 kilometers, all finishers receive a commemorative medal. For those who push beyond the half-marathon mark (21km), additional pins are available to celebrate milestones such as Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km, or Ultra distances. A generous goody bag awaits every participant post-race, alongside options for both standard and vegan refreshments at our aid station. Savory snacks, fruits, cheeses, and sweets will be on hand throughout the day to keep energy levels up during your run.
