Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series January

Promenade 3K Winter Series 2026/2027
Join Metro Aberdeen Running Club for their Promenade 3K Winter Series, taking place on The Beach Esplanade, Aberdeen. This series is promoted under SAL rules and features a measured course using the Jones Counter method.
The event unfolds every first Friday of each month from October through March in 2026/2027, with all races starting at 1:00pm sharp. Participants can look forward to racing on December 4th, January 8th (both in 2026 and 2027), as well as the early months of 2026 and March.
Registration is required for each race individually, with a flat entry fee of £3 per event. Race numbers must be kept consistent throughout the series and are available on-site only at registration, which takes place just north of Beach Leisure Centre along the promenade.
The Promenade 3K Winter Series awards prizes to top performers across various categories based on accumulated race times over three events in the series. This makes it an excellent opportunity for runners of all levels to engage with fellow athletes and enjoy friendly competition while taking advantage of Aberdeen's scenic coastal setting during winter months.
