About the Event

Join us on April 24, 2027, for the 12th Annual Merrickville Heritage Classic, where you'll run through the charming heart of our UNESCO World Heritage Rideau Canal village. This beloved race offers a fantastic finisher medal and an atmosphere that has drawn runners from far and wide over the past decade. Connect with old friends or make new ones as you explore historic sites like the picturesque blockhouses along your route.
The event features three distinct distances: the 2K Blockhouse Run for children under 12, the scenic 5K Canal Run, and the challenging Jewel of the Rideau 10K Run. All participants will enjoy a warm welcome from locals who celebrate this annual tradition with enthusiasm. T-shirts are included in registration fees for those running the 5K or 10K races but can be purchased separately by 2K runners.
Experience Merrickville's rich heritage and stunning natural beauty while contributing to an event that has become a cherished part of springtime traditions in Eastern Ontario.
Join us this April as we continue to make memories along the Rideau Canal.
