Mells Mash-Up

Mells Mash-Up, set to return on Sunday, September 20, 2026, marks the inaugural race of the Wiltshire Off-Road Race League. This scenic route spans approximately seven miles and weaves through a picturesque countryside with rolling hills and lush landscapes.
The course begins and concludes in Mells, a charming village near Frome, offering runners stunning views along quiet country lanes, footpaths, bridleways, and cycle paths. The race starts at 11:00 AM from the historic Mells Cricket Club, where parking is available both on-site and around the village.
Runners will enjoy well-marked trails with marshals present to ensure a safe passage throughout the route. Participants should be prepared for potentially slippery or muddy conditions in certain sections due to the varied terrain. For safety reasons, headphones are permitted but runners must remain alert to traffic and instructions from marshalls on narrow road segments.
Race numbers will be issued at Mells Cricket Club starting from 09:30 AM, with a race briefing scheduled for 10:45 AM. Post-race refreshments including tea and cakes will be available for purchase using either cash or cards. Each finisher receives a small memento to commemorate their achievement.
Online entry closes on September 17 at 23:59, with no entries accepted on race day. The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs (Permit No ARC/26/0591), ensuring all participants are part of an officially sanctioned and well-organized competition.
