Medelpad Classic Ski 2027

Welcome to the Medelpad Classic Ski, one of Sweden's premier long-distance cross-country skiing events. This race offers skiers an unforgettable journey through the stunning natural landscapes around Ljustorp.
The course winds its way through dense forests and open fields, with a finish line at Bergeforsens Idrottsplats where racers will complete their final stretch indoors before crossing the iconic checkered tape under warm applause from spectators. Participants can expect challenging terrain that tests both endurance and technical skills as they navigate varied conditions.
The event features two distances:
- A 42 km race for men and women aged 13 and above.
- A shorter, but equally demanding, 22 km course designed for skiers aged 11 and older.
Registration fees increase in the final weeks leading up to the start date. Prizes are awarded based on finish times at both distances:
For the longer race (42km):
1st place: SEK 3000
2nd place: SEK 2000
3rd place: SEK 1000
And for the shorter distance (22 km):
1st place: SEK 1250
2nd place: SEK 1000
3rd place: SEK 750
Additionally, there is a sprint prize available to both male and female competitors completing the 42km course in under two hours. Winners of this special award will receive an extra SEK 1000 each.
The Medelpad Classic Ski not only serves as a qualifying event for prestigious races like Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan, but also offers skiers a chance to experience the unique beauty of northern Sweden's winter landscape while pushing their athletic limits.
