About the Event

Marcialonga, an annual international cross-country ski race held on the last Sunday of January, captivates skiers from around the world as they traverse through the enchanting Fiemme and Fassa valleys in Trentino, Italy. The 70km main course begins in Moena and concludes in Cavalese, while a shorter 45km option known as "Marcialonga Light" ends in Predazzo. This event is renowned for its festive atmosphere, with spectators lining the route to cheer on participants through picturesque villages and snow-covered landscapes.
Beyond the challenging ski routes, Marcialonga offers an array of activities tailored to all ages. For young enthusiasts, there's Marcialonga Baby for children up to 6 years old, Minimarcialonga for kids aged 6 to 12, and Marcialonga Young for those up to 16 years old. These programs encourage a love for cross-country skiing from an early age.
One of the highlights is the Marcialonga Story event, which celebrates the rich history of cross-country skiing in Italy during the 1970s through engaging storytelling and cultural exhibits. Additionally, participants can take part in the Marcialonga Stars charity initiative that supports cancer research, combining athletic achievement with a meaningful cause.
