About the Event

Maratón 7 Colores returns to San Andrés Island, Colombia, marking its second edition following an inaugural success in 2025. The race invites runners from around the globe to experience the island’s stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture alongside the crystal-clear waters known for their striking seven-colored sea.
Organized by Fundación 7 Colores, this event offers a range of distances suitable for all ages and skill levels. Both the half marathon and full marathon routes are certified by World Athletics / AIMS, ensuring accuracy in distance measurement over mostly flat coastal terrain that winds around the island’s perimeter clockwise. The marathon course includes an additional section based on the 10K route.
Beyond its athletic challenges, Maratón 7 Colores aims to foster community engagement and support local initiatives. Proceeds from the event contribute to athlete development programs, enhancing San Andrés Island's reputation as a premier international sports destination while showcasing its rich cultural heritage through music and dance performances along the race routes.
Runners can expect breathtaking views of the island’s turquoise waters and lush landscapes, complemented by enthusiastic cheering sections throughout the course. This unique blend of endurance testing and community spirit makes Maratón 7 Colores an unforgettable experience for participants looking to explore San Andrés Island in a meaningful way.
Maratón 7 Colores is more than just a race; it’s an opportunity to connect with nature, culture, and the local community through one of Colombia's most scenic running events.
