Malham Trail Hike 13 Mile

On September 4, 2027, Due North Trail Races celebrates its tenth anniversary with an inclusive Half Marathon Hike through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Participants can enjoy a leisurely pace along the same stunning route used for runners, covering 13 miles of scenic trails and rolling hills.
The event starts at 8:00am from Malham village, offering ample time to explore the natural beauty without pressure. Walkers will encounter marshals and drink stations stocked with fruit and biscuits throughout their journey. The hike is designed for all levels—whether you're a seasoned hill walker or looking for a new challenge.
All participants must carry essential items including waterproof gear, warm clothing, water, snacks, and suitable footwear to navigate the rural terrain comfortably. A kit check ensures everyone has what they need before setting off.
The event concludes with live chip timing and a finisher's medal at Malham village square. Toilets are available in the car park field, which opens early for participants at 6:45am. Free parking is provided until 4pm.
Walkers have up to seven hours to complete the course, with an expected halfway point time of three and a half hours. If significantly behind schedule, marshals may guide you on a shorter route back to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. This decision is made to accommodate all participants while prioritizing welfare.
Registration opens at 7am for those ready to embrace this unique blend of nature and community spirit in the Yorkshire Dales.
