Malham Trail Half

The Malham Trail Half Marathon, part of the Due North Trail Trilogy, invites runners to explore the stunning Yorkshire Dales landscape on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. This challenging yet rewarding race begins at the picturesque Malham Show Field in Malham village and takes participants through iconic landmarks like Malham Cove and Malham Tarn.
The course features a climb up to Weets Top, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside as you ascend. Once you reach the top, runners will enjoy an exhilarating descent back towards Malham with stunning vistas throughout.
Registration opens at 08:00 in the car park adjacent to the show field where participants can pick up their race numbers until 09:45 for a prompt start time of 10:00. The event encourages runners to bring essential kit such as waterproofs, suitable footwear, and hydration packs due to varying weather conditions.
Post-race festivities include prize-giving ceremonies at the finish line where awards are presented to top male and female competitors in various age categories including V40 (men aged 40+), V50 (men aged 50+), V60 (men aged 60+) and V70+ (men aged 70+). Additionally, prizes will be awarded for non-binary participants.
Participants must be at least 17 years old to enter. For added peace of mind, runners have the option to purchase XCover insurance which offers a refund in case unforeseen circumstances prevent attendance on race day.
