Welcome to the Autumn Series of 11 events, where runners and orienteering enthusiasts gather across various locations for an exciting journey through urban landscapes. This year’s penultimate race takes place on December 9th, returning to Kendal Castle—a vibrant setting that offers a unique blend of town center streets, residential roads, narrow alleyways (ginnels), steps, cobbled paths, and parkland. The event features both long and short courses designed for all skill levels. Participants will navigate through historic streets lined with quaint shops and charming residences, passing by the imposing Kendal Castle ruins. The terrain includes a mix of paved surfaces and natural footpaths, providing runners with an engaging challenge as they explore this picturesque town. Running in pairs or groups is highly encouraged; it’s not only fun but also helps newcomers learn orienteering techniques from experienced participants. To register multiple individuals under one name, simply include their names and ages in the ‘Additional names and ages’ section during registration. Extra maps can be requested if needed for larger teams or those requiring additional support.
