One Light, Two On, Three Tri, let's go! Heading to the Meuse , for the LIGHT ON TRI Madine ***, the new must-attend event for triathletes in the Grand Est ... and maybe soon yours too! 😉 See you in mid- September in Nonsard-Lamarche , between Metz and Nancy , for a crazy triathlon with nearly a thousand participants every year 🔥. Needless to say, there will be some elbowing on the start line! 💪 Go on, make your choice... Between the S format and M , there's something for everyone. We're even told through the earpiece 🦻 that there's an L format for the hungriest! Yes indeed, Jamy 🤓. With two kids' races for ages 6 to 9 and 10 to 13 , the youngest will get their share too! 🫡 Nestled in Lorraine , the competition starts at Lake Madine 🏁, an artificial lake that serves as a biodiversity reserve 🦆, and which is, among other things, the largest lake in the region 💧. No less than that 😮. This region is ideal for outdoor sports with its rolling paths , the Meuse hills , meadows 🌼 and undergrowth 🪵. Everything is in place for a sporting experience full of challenges ! ⚡️ Don't forget your star sunglasses 😎, not because you're going to shine brightly (even though we're sure you will), but because there's a good chance the sun will peek out for your greatest pleasure... 🌞 Yes indeed, at this time of year, an Indian summer is guaranteed! Temperatures will approach 20°C, although the water temperature is rather cool 🥶, hence the strongly recommended neoprene wetsuit ! ⚠️ Rather pleasant " tout rintintin" conditions as our friends in the Grand Est say, for a weekend of great sport and sharing! 😍 And if you're the tireless type 🤪, and still have energy left in your legs, go and explore the surroundings. You won't be disappointed! 🤫 Located a few kilometers from Nonsard-Lamarche , the Butte de Montsec is an isolated hill that offers a spectacular panoramic view 👀 over the whole Woëvre plain and Lake Madine , making it a spot much appreciated by hikers for its natural vista at 360° 🏞️. For a slightly more cultural visit 🤓, you can go to the Vent des forêts 🌳, a preserved natural place where natural beauty and contemporary art meet over nearly 45 km of trails 🚶‍♂️‍➡️. But don't worry, we've thought of your taste buds too... 😋 After all that sport 🚴‍♀️, it's only natural that your stomach is crying out for food. Luckily, the Grand Est region is rich in exceptional dishes ! Treat yourself in the land of pâté and quiche Lorraine 🥧.
