LCW Peaks Nieuwpoort Swim
About the event
The Nieuwpoort Swim invites open water enthusiasts to dive into one of Belgium's unique aquatic challenges. Set against the backdrop of the Old Fish Market, swimmers embark on either a 1.9km or 3.8km journey towards Europe’s largest marina in Northern Europe. This event marks the beginning of the Long Course Weekend and features calm waters due to protective channels that shield participants from strong currents. Spectators line both sides of the course, adding energy and support throughout the swim. The race culminates near the historic West Front monument before finishing on the vibrant festival grounds, making it an unforgettable experience for all who participate.
