The Saturday Orienteering Series invites newcomers and veterans alike to discover the thrill of orienteering in one of Sydney's most stunning natural settings. Join solo or team up with friends and family; the choice is yours. Each event includes detailed maps, beginner-friendly routes, and friendly guidance from knowledgeable volunteers who are eager to help you get started.
The day kicks off at Penrose St Playground, where participants can meet between 9:30am and 11am before setting out on their chosen course. The warm-up route is ideal for beginners looking to ease into the activity, while more experienced orienteers will find plenty of challenges in the Short Line, Long Line, and Score courses.
All routes utilize SPORTident timing technology, ensuring accurate tracking throughout your adventure. If you don't have a SPORTident card, one can be hired on-site at an additional cost.
Entry fees are affordable for both adults ($18) and school students ($15), with discounts available to members using the promo code "ONSW" during checkout. Late entries incur a $2 surcharge if submitted after midday Thursday preceding the event.
