Join us on January 23, 2027, for the Laketown Distance Festival along the picturesque shores of Lake Pontchartrain. This event offers runners three distance options: a scenic 5K loop, a challenging 10K course, and an exhilarating 10-mile route around Kenner Lakefront. Participants will enjoy chip-timed racing with custom finisher medals awaiting them at the end of each race. All entrants receive a long-sleeve poly-cotton t-shirt commemorating their achievement. The post-race festivities are packed with refreshments, including hot pancakes and sausage from Alinea Coffee Roasters, mimosas, ice cold beer courtesy of Southern Eagle Distributors, Elmer's Chee Wees, sweet treats by Baker Maid Products, Kentwood Springs Water, and a variety of fresh fruit. The event site is located at the end of Williams Blvd., just west of Kenner Boat Launch and near Treasure Chest Casino. Packet pickup for race participants will take place on January 21st from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Ron Jewelers, situated at 4103 Williams Blvd in Kenner. The Laketown Distance Festival is more than just a run; it's an opportunity to support the Rotary Club of Kenner and their community service projects.
