Lakeside 5K

The Lakeside 5K returns for its 2026 edition on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Hosted at John Hendry Park (Trout Lake Park) in Vancouver, BC, this "Run, Walk, Give!" event is organized to support the Street Saviours Outreach Society. Participants can look forward to an energizing morning featuring a group warm-up led by SFU track athlete Selin Tasdemir and a special appearance by local Olympian and world-record holder Evan Dunfee, followed by a festive Lakeside Festival with music and refreshments.

Participation and Logistics

The course consists of three counterclockwise laps around the main pathway of Trout Lake. Check-in and gear check open at 9:00 AM near the lakeside festival zone at 3300 Victoria Dr. Registration includes a gift bag, prize draw entries, and post-race snacks such as Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee. Accessibility is a priority for the organizers; those for whom cost is a barrier are encouraged to contact the team directly to discuss participation options. The course officially closes at 1:30 PM following the post-race celebrations.

Regular online registration remains open until Saturday, March 21, 2026. For those deciding last minute, Race Day Registration will be available on Sunday, March 22, for a fee of CA$32.15.
