Lai Outdoor Little Warrior Trail Race 2026 (崃户外·2026小勇士越野赛)

On October 17, 2026, the Qiaohuwa·Little Warrior Trail Race will take place in Gu Hujing Square, located in Huojing Town of Qionglai City, Sichuan Province. This event offers runners a unique blend of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage set against the backdrop of western Qiongla's mountainous terrain.
The race features two categories: an individual group with 200 participants and a family-friendly category for 300 entrants. Both groups will cover a distance of 10.5 kilometers, traversing varied elevations from 540 meters to 978 meters above sea level, offering runners significant climbs totaling 562 meters in elevation gain and descents amounting to 556 meters.
The individual race starts at 9:15 AM with a cutoff time of 12:45 PM, while the family group begins its run half an hour later. Both categories provide ample opportunity for runners to enjoy the scenic beauty and cultural richness of Huojing Town, which is situated along the TianTai Mountain tourism route.
Huojing Town boasts a rich history as one of Chengdu's top ten historical towns, spanning over 700 years with roots tracing back to ancient times. The town was home to China’s earliest known natural gas well and served as inspiration for the legendary story of Huang Chongga, also known as "Lady Prime Minister." Visitors can explore remnants from this era such as the Hujing Well site, Cangjia Mountain, and ZHUANGYUAN Pagoda.
The race route showcases these historical landmarks alongside picturesque views of mountainous landscapes, river valleys, lush forests, and traditional farmland. Runners will pass through scenic spots like Gu Hujing Square and Hebei Ancient Street where well-preserved Qing Dynasty and Republican-era architecture line the streets. These areas are also known for their vibrant local customs and traditions.
After completing the race, participants can further explore Huojing Town’s cultural sites or engage in activities that highlight traditional rural life such as visiting temples like Xingfu Temple and enjoying a short trip through the town's charming countryside setting. This event not only challenges runners physically but also immerses them deeply into the historical and natural wonders of this unique location.
