La Ronde Aiguefondaise

On April 4, 2027, the Complexe sportif Alain Guiraud in Aiguefonde will host an exciting day of trail running and family fun. The centerpiece is the "La Piste du Dolmen" trail race, a challenging route covering 20 kilometers with over 1000 meters of elevation gain, starting at 8:30 AM. Recommended for experienced runners due to its technical terrain, this course takes participants through varied landscapes that showcase Aiguefonde's natural beauty.
For those seeking something less strenuous but still rewarding is the "La Ronde Aiguefundaise," a more accessible trail run of 11.5 kilometers with approximately 350 meters of elevation gain. This race begins at 10:00 AM and offers runners scenic vistas while remaining relatively beginner-friendly compared to its longer counterpart.
The day also includes activities for the youngest participants, kicking off at 10:30 AM with a fun course designed specifically for children aged six and up. Additionally, families can enjoy a leisurely "Randonnée gourmande," a 11-kilometer walk that starts at 9:30 AM, complete with marked trails and opportunities to indulge in local treats along the way.
All participants are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear for their chosen activity—trail shoes or hiking boots are recommended for both races. Participants must have either an FFA (French Athletic Federation) license or a PPS (Personal Protection Scheme) that is no more than three months old, and minors require parental authorization as well as copies of identification documents.
Given the popularity of these events, pre-registration in advance is essential due to limited spaces available on-site. Don't miss this opportunity for an engaging day out with friends and family amidst Aiguefonde's stunning natural surroundings.
