About the Event

Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2026 for the La Pontchâtelaine edition of L'ESCO 44 Missillac-Pontchâteau. This year’s event offers something unique and exciting for runners of all levels with a variety of race options set in the charming town of Pontchâteau.
The Autour du Brivet is a challenging yet scenic course covering 24 kilometers, combining nature trails, rural paths, and roads. Participants will start their journey at 1:30 PM, immersing themselves in the serene landscapes around Pontchâteau.
For those looking for something more accessible but equally engaging, the Sentiers du Brivet offers a shorter yet delightful experience with its 10-kilometer course starting at 2:30 PM. This race is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable on both trails and roads.
The evening brings an exciting twist with La Casse Pattes, a unique urban trail event that spans 16 kilometers. Starting at 7:30 PM, this nocturnal run requires participants to use headlamps as they navigate through illuminated zones and stretches of complete darkness. It’s the perfect opportunity for runners to experience the thrill of night racing.
Adding another layer of excitement is La Chouette Roz, an 8-kilometer trail designed specifically for newcomers to nighttime running. Starting at 7:45 PM, this race also mandates headlamps as participants explore Pontchâteau's urban paths under starlit skies.
Children are not left out with a series of galopades tailored just for them. Four mixed-gender races will be held between 3 and 5 PM along the Allée du Brivet near Halles, offering young runners from various age groups an introduction to competitive running in a fun-filled environment.
Participants can also challenge themselves further by combining day and night runs through two special challenges: The Grand Brivetain (24km + 16km) and The Petit Brivetain (10km + 8km). These combined events provide the unique opportunity to experience both daylight trails and nighttime urban paths in a single event.
Registration will be available on-site from early morning till late afternoon, ensuring that everyone has ample time to sign up before their chosen race starts. We look forward to welcoming runners of all ages for an unforgettable day filled with adventure and camaraderie at La Pontchâtelaine 2026!
