Join us for an inspiring and impactful day of solidarity as we come together to support children battling cancer through the annual Plerin Blood Donation Association Randonnée on September 27, 2026. This year's event will feature two routes: a 15-kilometer run and a 10-kilometer walk, both designed to raise funds for "Grandir en Guerrier" and the "Thomas Team," dedicated organizations combating pediatric cancers.
The proceeds from this event will be directed towards vital research initiatives aimed at finding new treatments and improving daily life for young cancer patients. Each year in France alone, between 2500 and 3000 children are diagnosed with cancer, a staggering number that highlights the urgent need for increased awareness and support. Sadly, approximately 500 of these brave fighters do not survive their battle.
The race starts at Espace Roger-Ollivier in Plerin, offering participants flexibility to begin between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM for the longer route or from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM for those choosing the shorter option. Both courses are clearly marked throughout their entirety.
Participants can look forward to a supportive atmosphere with refreshments provided at both the start line and along the routes, ensuring that everyone stays energized during this meaningful journey through Plerin's scenic landscape. This event is not just about physical activity; it’s an opportunity for runners and walkers alike to make a difference in the lives of children facing life-threatening illnesses.
