About the Event

Experience the enchanting landscapes of Clavières during La Forestière de la Margeride 2026, taking place on Sunday, July 26. The race offers two challenging courses: an 8-kilometer trail and a more demanding 15-kilometer route through the picturesque Margeride forest.
Participants can expect to navigate winding paths with scenic views of lush greenery and rolling hills. The event is open to runners of all levels, ensuring that both seasoned athletes and newcomers will find their stride among the natural beauty.
Multiple water stations are strategically placed along each course to keep you hydrated throughout your run. However, due to variable weather conditions, it's advisable to carry extra water. The race begins in Clavières at 9:30 AM for the shorter 15-kilometer route and at 10:00 AM for the longer 8-kilometer course.
The climbs are steep with a total of 270 meters plus an additional 550 meters, making this event both rewarding and physically demanding. Registration is available online through klikego or by phone (contact details provided), as well as on-site at the race venue. For those planning to join in for a meal post-race, reservations can be made up until July 23 via email or telephone.
Sanitation facilities including showers are readily accessible on site, providing comfort after your run. A hearty meal is offered to all participants and their companions, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the day.
