The day kicks off early with a reconnaissance run designed to give participants an exclusive preview of the main event's challenging terrain. Two groups will tackle different distances and pacing options:
- A longer route covering approximately 42 kilometers (1300 meters elevation gain) is scheduled for around 7 hours, offering runners a taste of what awaits in future editions.
- Additionally, there’s a shorter but equally engaging option at about 25 kilometers (750 meters elevation gain), catering to those looking for an approximate three-to-four-hour adventure.
Both routes are non-marked trails where participants will be guided by experienced leaders. The day culminates with a convivial meetup around lunchtime for refreshments and camaraderie among runners.

The morning brings another opportunity to explore the forest paths but this time in shorter bursts:
- Three groups will set out on a 15-kilometer route (400 meters elevation gain) designed for various pacing options ranging from about one hour and forty-five minutes up to over two hours.
In addition to these runs, families, novices, and those with reduced mobility are invited to participate in an introductory trail running workshop organized by MATRA 78. This event aims to promote physical activity and inclusivity within the community of Marly-le-Roi.
