About the Event

Billed as Japan's first full-fledged mile road race, the Kitashibu RunRun Festa is held in the Shibuya Ward area and marks its fifth edition. The one-mile race on public roads originated here, and the organizers want to keep growing it into an event that anyone can enjoy, from children to seniors, record-chasing athletes and spectators along the course.
The program includes the Kitashibu Mile over 1 mile (1,609 m), the Hachiko Parade Run and Walk over about 1 km, the Kitashibu Chick Race for the youngest runners, and the Kitashibu Relay, a one-hour relay marathon on a loop of roughly 1.6 km. Fees for the parade and the relay are charged per team, and the team representative registers on behalf of the group.
