Kayleigh's Wee Stars Turkey Trot 2026

Kicking off the holiday season with a touch of festive cheer, the KWS Turkey Trot is set to take place on Sunday afternoon, December 20th. This heartwarming Christmas Fun Run invites all runners aged 11 and up (with under-14s needing adult supervision) to join in for an unforgettable experience.
The event begins at Oldmeldrum Legion located right in the heart of Meldrum Town Centre, with registration opening from 1:15 pm until 1:55 pm. Participants will embark on a sociable and non-competitive run covering just under 8 kilometers (7.8km) through quiet country roads that remain open to traffic throughout the route. The event encourages runners to dress up in festive attire, adding an extra layer of joy and camaraderie.
As you reach the halfway mark, be prepared for a special encounter with some Festive Friends who will cheer you on from the sidelines. This self-sufficient run means participants should carry their own water supplies as there are no designated stops along the way.
Upon crossing the finish line at 2:00 pm sharp, all runners receive a bespoke KWS Christmas decoration to commemorate their participation and efforts. The entry fee of £22.50 goes directly towards supporting Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, ensuring that your run makes an impactful difference in the lives of brave families across Scotland.
After completing this feel-good fun run, head over to Oldmeldrum Legion where refreshments will be available for all finishers and their families. The Legion promises a day filled with family-friendly activities including Christmas-themed entertainment and singalongs late into the afternoon.
