Kanalsimmet

Welcome to the Kanalsimmet, a unique open-water swim event taking place on June 5, 2027, along the Nissan River in Hyltebruk. Participants will dive into the river from Kanalgatan and embark on a challenging course that stretches for 2000 meters.
The race begins with a grueling 1000-meter swim against the current up to a turnaround buoy. Swimmers then pivot and complete another 1000 meters downstream back towards the finish line, where they will find the pace quicker but no less demanding. The course is clearly marked by buoys at key points for guidance.
Safety is paramount during Kanalsimmet; safety personnel are stationed throughout both land and water to ensure a secure environment for all participants. Swimmers can expect cool conditions in the river, which was measured at 17.9 degrees Celsius on June 6, 2026, providing an invigorating challenge.
This event offers swimmers an immersive experience through Hyltebruk's picturesque Nissan River, making it a must-attend for open-water enthusiasts.
Join the Kanalsimmet and embrace the thrill of swimming in one of Sweden’s most scenic locations.
