Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series January

Due to overwhelming interest, the Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series returns for the winter season of 2026/2027. This beloved series offers runners aged nine and up from Primary 5 onwards an exciting opportunity to compete on a picturesque course along Aberdeen's Beach Esplanade.
The event is scheduled every Friday, beginning October 26th and concluding March 27th, with specific race dates set for October 9th, November 13th, December 11th, January 15th, February 12th, and March 19th. All races kick off at 1:00 PM sharp.
Participants will gather just north of the Beach Leisure Centre on the promenade to start their journey around a measured course certified by Jones Counter under SAL rules. The series is designed for all skill levels, welcoming runners from beginners to seasoned athletes who are eager to take part in this spirited winter tradition.
Each race carries an entry fee of £2 and requires pre-registration; no entries will be accepted on the day of the event. Runners must collect their numbers at registration before each race they plan to participate in. To ensure continuity, participants should keep the same number throughout the series for accurate tracking of accumulated times across all three races.
The Junior Proms Dash 3K Winter Series offers various categories and prizes based solely on performance over the course of multiple events rather than individual race results. Those who cannot attend a particular event can transfer their entry to another runner by contacting the race director via email with full details about the substitute person.
