JULEFROKOST HALVMARATHON 2026

Join us on November 13, 2026, for the whimsical and unforgettable Julefrokost Halvmarathon in Aalborg. This unique half marathon starts at 6 PM from Østerport 5 near Motorcykelklubben Mc Bulls, offering a scenic route through some of the most authentic areas of Aalborg and Nørresundby.
With only 15 spots available, this event is both exclusive and intimate. Participants are required to dress up in holiday-themed costumes for an extra touch of fun and festivity. The race itself spans 21.1 kilometers but don't expect a strict pace; the emphasis here is on enjoyment rather than speed, with participants spending around three hours actually running and over three-and-a-half hours at various tavern stops along the way.
The route includes picturesque depots where runners can enjoy local fare and refreshments while soaking in the lively atmosphere. A highlight of the event is receiving a commemorative beer medal instead of a traditional finisher's award, adding to the unique charm of this social run. Participants should carry cash as mobile payment methods may not be widely accepted at all stops.
Photographers accompany runners throughout the journey, ensuring that every memorable moment is captured and cherished long after the race concludes. This event isn't about breaking personal records; it’s a celebration of camaraderie, tradition, and holiday spirit in one unforgettable run.
Experience the magic of Aalborg like never before as you explore its historic streets and cozy taverns with fellow runners. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary half marathon that promises laughter, warmth, and plenty of festive cheer.
