Iron Furnace Trail Run
About the event
Experience one of Ohio's most challenging trail races at the 14th Annual Iron Furnace Trail Run on February 20, 2027. Set against the backdrop of Lake Hope State Park and Zaleski State Forest, this event offers a diverse terrain that tests even the toughest runners. The half marathon route spans 13.1 miles through single-track trails, featuring deep gorges, scenic overlooks, and rugged rocky outcroppings. Runners will traverse into remote areas of Zaleski State Forest, where natural beauty meets technical trail challenges. For those seeking a shorter adventure, the 5-mile course provides an equally immersive experience along the lake's edge and through pristine single-track trails. Both distances offer breathtaking views and unforgettable moments in one of Ohio’s most scenic settings.
