Inca Wildmarathon du Pérou

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Inca Wildmarathon in Peru. This unique race is part of the prestigious 6 Wild Marathons series, offering runners not just a challenging course but also an immersive cultural experience.
The race offers three trail distances: a full marathon (42 km), half-marathon (21 km), and a 10-kilometer run. The marathon route features significant elevation changes with 1750 meters of ascent and 2600 meters of descent, making it predominantly downhill but still challenging due to its high altitude starting point at over 4,500 meters.
The race is preceded by an epic six-day adventure that begins in Cuzco. Participants will be picked up from the airport and settled into a carefully selected hotel for acclimatization and orientation tours of historic sites like Sacsaywaman, an Inca fortress dedicated to the Sun deity.
On subsequent days, runners explore the Sacred Valley with visits to traditional textile workshops and salt mines, followed by an excursion to Ollantaytambo where they will trek into the Racachacca valley before camping overnight in preparation for race day.
Race day itself starts from a campsite set up in the Inca Valley and finishes in Santa Teresa. After crossing the finish line, participants can unwind at thermal springs while enjoying post-race festivities leading to an award ceremony.
The journey culminates with a visit to Machu Picchu, one of the world's most iconic archaeological sites, before being returned safely to Cuzco airport for departure back home or onward travel.
