On October 12, 2026, the II Caminhada Passos pela Paz invites walkers to explore the tranquil landscapes of Conceição de Macabu and Santa Maria Madalena in Rio de Janeiro. Participants will set off at 6:00 AM from in front of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Parish Church in the center of Conceição de Macabu, embarking on a scenic 14-kilometer journey through picturesque countryside.
The route winds along serene trails and quiet roads that weave between charming villages. As walkers progress, they will enjoy stunning views of lush greenery and rolling hills typical of this region. Later in the day, participants can enjoy a communal lunch that celebrates local flavors and traditions, fostering a sense of community among walkers from all backgrounds.
