Step into the legacy of Indiana’s top runners by lacing up on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, just days after the IHSAA Boys’ and Girls' Cross Country State Finals. The Run it Forward 5K invites all participants to experience the thrill of running this hallowed ground and support education-based athletics that nurture young talent. Registration for this event begins on July 24th, offering runners a chance to secure their spot in an unforgettable race day atmosphere. Upon crossing the finish line at one of Indiana’s most prestigious venues, each participant will not only receive a timed result but also a commemorative t-shirt and a finisher medal as tokens of achievement. On event day, check-in and registration open at 2:30 PM, allowing ample time to soak in the energy before the race kicks off at 4 PM. The course itself is steeped in history, presenting runners with challenging terrain that tests endurance while celebrating the spirit of competition. Awards are an integral part of this event, recognizing overall male and female winners as well as masters (65+) category champions. Additionally, age group winners will be celebrated for their individual achievements. Groups or teams showcasing the largest contingent on race day can also look forward to special recognition.
