About the Event

The I-RUN GOA MARATHON 2027, marking its eighth edition and the tenth anniversary of both the I-Help Foundation Goa and the marathon itself, is set to illuminate the scenic state of Goa on January 10, 2027. This long-awaited event promises a best-in-class experience for runners, volunteers, and spectators alike.
The I-RUN GOA MARATHON celebrates fitness and community spirit as participants train rigorously in preparation for this momentous occasion. The marathon is more than just a race; it's an opportunity to join forces with like-minded individuals who are committed to promoting health, inspiring others, and contributing positively to society through running.
The event offers several categories of races that cater to runners of all levels:
- I-RUN 32 KM (20 Miler)
- I-RUN 21 KM (Half Marathon)
- I-RUN 10 KM (Timed Run)
- I-RUN 5 KM (Timed Run)
- I-RUN 5 KM (Fun Run)
- I-RUN 2 KM (Charity Run)
Participants will gather at the Goa University Playground, adjacent to Dr. Shyama Prasp Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao, for a morning event that runs from 3:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday.
The atmosphere is vibrant and supportive as runners of all ages cross the finish line with renewed purpose and satisfaction. The I-RUN GOA MARATHON aims to foster community revitalization by encouraging men, women, and children to embrace running not just for personal health but also for social causes such as child education, environmental conservation, cleanliness initiatives, reduction in plastic usage, tree planting, and soil preservation.
Organized by the I-Help Foundation Goa—a registered non-government organization dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities through various projects like I-Educare (free education), I-Clean (cleanliness drives), and I-Run—this event is more than just a race. It's an initiative that seeks to empower youth, inspire societal change, and promote a healthier lifestyle.
Participants can look forward to receiving medals, electronic certificates, T-shirts, timing chips (for all races except the 5K Fun Run and 2K Charity Run), refreshments post-run, and complimentary photographs upon completion of their race.
