I Beg Your Parton 5k Run

Join us on December 13, 2026, at Hawthorne Park for an unforgettable celebration of music and community spirit with the I Beg Your Parton 5k Road Run. This race pays tribute to the legendary Dolly Parton while supporting a noble cause – raising funds for the Imagination Library.
The Porter County Public Library System and Westchester Public Library System, along with the support from the Porter County Community Foundation, will ensure that over 4,236 children in this region receive books through the Imagination Library program. This initiative aims to foster literacy among young readers across Indiana, where a total of 159,328 enrolled children benefit from its reach.
All participants can look forward to receiving an exclusive limited-edition t-shirt upon registration; however, supplies are limited and once they run out, you'll be given winter hats and gloves instead. The design for the shirt will soon be unveiled on our website.
The Crazy Legs Race Series (CLRS) is dedicated to promoting non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana through innovative course designs that challenge runners while keeping a low-key atmosphere. This event promises an engaging experience with scenic routes winding through parks and open spaces within Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties.
Crazy Legs Race Series welcomes all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or expression to participate in our events without any documentation required for transgender runners who register as the gender they identify with. We recognize that we are on seized land originally inhabited by the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations, along with other groups such as the Lenape (Delaware). It is essential to honor those who have stewarded this land over generations.
